Event Overview
The projection mapping event celebrates the rich heritage of Tsurgak Castle, one of Japan's most beautiful castles. This year's show features mesmerizing digital animations inspired by traditional crafts such as
Aizu lacquerware and
Aizu candles, alongside artwork from the renowned Ukiyo-e artist
Yukimura Shukun. The projections will illuminate the castle's keep and stone walls, showcasing the vibrant flora of Fukushima's seasonal flowers.
This event marks the sixth iteration of projection mapping at Tsurgak Castle and promises to captivate attendees with its dazzling visuals. Beyond the stunning projections, parts of the park will be illuminated to offer a breathtaking view of the castle at night.
Entry to the event is free and there’s no advance registration required, making it accessible for everyone to experience.

Each show is approximately 8 minutes long, repeated with 3-minute intermissions. Rain won't stop the show, but severe weather may cause delays or cancellations.

Access and Parking
Given safety measures, the park's parking facilities may not be available during the event. Alternative parking includes:
- - East Entrance Parking: 130 vehicles
- - Temporary Parking near Former Athletic Field: 400 vehicles
- - Temporary Parking at the Former Prefectural Hospital Site: 350 vehicles (Free)
Note that the Nishide Maru parking area will be closed from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM for the event.
Tips for Attendees
- - Safety First: Be cautious when moving around the park at night.
- - Photography Guidelines: Flash photography, drone usage, and long-duration tripod setups during crowded times are discouraged. Consider silent shooting modes during high-traffic moments and try your best to capture video due to the fast-moving visuals.
- - Camera Stand Height: Tripod height should be at the viewer's eye level at all times. Stands that do not touch the ground are not allowed.
In preparation for possible improvements, the event may involve gathering data on visitor movements, ensuring all information remains anonymous.
