Shoot 360 Launches Groundbreaking Basketball Training Center in San Mateo County
Shoot 360, renowned for its innovative approach to basketball training, is set to launch its latest facility in San Mateo County on January 30. Located on Karen Road in Belmont, this opening marks the brand's strategic expansion into the Bay Area, promising a new era of training for basketball enthusiasts.
As a leader in tech-driven basketball instruction, Shoot 360 offers athletes of all levels an immersive training experience supported by advanced performance data analytics. With technology already utilized by nearly all NBA teams and over 100 collegiate programs, the new location will enhance the way players refine their skills. By combining physical training with interactive technology, Shoot 360 measures individual skillsets and provides immediate feedback, allowing players to pinpoint areas for improvement across ball handling, passing, and shooting.
The exciting new location in San Mateo County is spearheaded by a team deeply rooted in the local basketball scene. Co-owners Dan Trigub and Dieterich Johnson-Nurnberg, along with general manager Chuck Barnes and partner David “Coach DMO” Moore, bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in both technology and youth development.
Trigub, who emigrated to the U.S. as a first-generation American, has a solid background in the tech industry, having held leadership roles at major firms like Uber and Lyft. His entry into the world of basketball training was inspired during a trip to Oregon with his son, where they discovered the benefits of a tech-driven training facility when they visited a Shoot 360 center in Beaverton. This experience lit a spark in him to create a similar facility in his hometown.
Johnson-Nurnberg complements Trigub’s tech expertise with a strong academic and coaching foundation. He is a kinesiology professor and has served as a college basketball coach for nearly a decade. Additionally, he runs Fury, an influential youth basketball program with ties to Nike’s Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL). His roles have equipped him with a clear understanding of how to nurture young athletes to compete at higher levels.
Barnes, known for his strong player development insights, had a successful high school career leading him to the top junior college in the nation and gaining managerial experience at Team Esface Basketball Academy. His operational savvy was further honed through his time in production management at Tesla. It was at Esface that he crossed paths with Trigub through their mutual connections in the youth basketball community.
The essence of the project lies in their shared passion for strengthening the local basketball culture. “Opening Shoot 360 is truly a passion project for all of us,” Trigub states. “We want to create a sense of community where young players can practice, improve, and foster their love for the sport.”
The facility spans an impressive 6,000 square feet and is designed to revolutionize basketball training in the area. It features five skill courts, four permanent shooting courts, one half court, and a dedicated strength and conditioning area equipped with a VertiMax machine. Each element is designed to offer a comprehensive training environment for athletes looking to elevate their game.
Shoot 360’s efforts extend beyond individual training; the franchise aspires to expand basketball’s reach globally. The organization has garnered attention from various NBA and WNBA stars who believe in its mission, with prominent owners and investors such as Trae Young, Sue Bird, and Breanna Stewart.
The training center will operate Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 9 PM, on Wednesdays from 1:30 PM to 9 PM, Saturdays from 10 AM to 6 PM, and Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM.
