Women Entrepreneurs Discuss the Careers of the Next Decade and Future of Regions

In an era where life decisions—including career changes, marriage, and caregiving—profoundly influence our paths, Shibire Inc. is stepping up to inspire women entrepreneurs across Japan. Marking its 10th anniversary, the company, led by CEO Mizuki Suzuki, is hosting a special event titled "Designing Work Styles for the Future and Our Communities". This gathering aims to awaken new perspectives on career choices over the next decade, focusing on how we can shape our working lives aligned with personal values and community.

The Journey of Shibire Inc.

Founded in 2016, Shibire Inc. has operated out of Chuo, Tokyo, with a mission to promote innovative work styles that transcend traditional frameworks. Mizuki Suzuki, born in Miyagi Prefecture, cultivated her career through various platforms, including as a program producer for TV Kanagawa and a strategic coordinator for IT talent solicitation in Shimane Prefecture. After transitioning into motherhood, she was inspired to create a business focused on empowering others to find exciting careers tailored to their own aspirations and circumstances.

Featured Speakers

The event will feature enlightening discussions with Mizuki Suzuki and Yuka Kasai, a key player in disaster management and cultural preservation through her role as a board director at Inochi to Bunka. Yuka brings her wealth of experience from her work on rebuilding communities affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, focusing on sustainable living and fostering local resilience. Her research at both national and international levels underlines the importance of community collaboration in disaster preparedness.

A Conversation on Career Choices

During the event's talk session, both entrepreneurs will delve into their personal career journeys, reflecting on the transformations they have witnessed over the past decade and the myriad choices that lie ahead. With their unique viewpoints shaped by both local and global experiences, they will encourage attendees to embrace authenticity in their work lives, underscoring that personal fulfillment and community connection can coexist beautifully.

Who Should Attend?

This event is designed for individuals seeking greater autonomy in their career choices, those interested in entrepreneurship, and anyone keen on exploring non-traditional work styles that allow for more flexibility and creativity. Whether you are contemplating a career pivot, considering starting your own business, or simply curious about new ways to live and work without geographical constraints, this event will provide valuable insights.
