Zventus and TecNM Partner in Launching Innovative Software Development Center

Zventus and TecNM's Revolutionary Software Development Center

In a significant development aimed at aligning education with industry needs, Zventus, a prominent global consulting firm, has joined forces with the Ensenada Institute of Technology (ITE), part of Mexico's esteemed Tecnológico Nacional de México (TecNM) system. Together, they inaugurated a state-of-the-art Software Development Center of Excellence (CoE) on October 9, 2025. This initiative bridges the gap between academic learning and practical skills required by the rapidly evolving technology landscape.

A Landmark Collaboration

This partnership marks a pivotal moment as it introduces the first-ever software development CoE directly within a university environment. Strategically based on the ITE campus, this center is set to foster innovation and nurture a pool of job-ready talent equipped for the digital economy. By focusing on high-demand technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and robotics, Zventus and TecNM are establishing a solid foundation for students to thrive in these fields.

The Mexican Model of Dual Training (MMDT)

Central to this initiative is the Mexican Model of Dual Training (MMDT), a framework designed to provide students with unparalleled practical experience. Unlike traditional internships, this model immerses students primarily in stable, hands-on training at the Zventus CoE—spending approximately 80% of their time tackling real-world business challenges for clients in sectors such as real estate, mortgage, insurance, and healthcare. The remaining 20% will be devoted to theoretical education at ITE, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive learning experience.

Insights from Leadership

Angel Alban, President of Zventus, emphasized the transformative nature of this collaboration, stating, "This is more than a facility; it's a strategic talent accelerator. By embedding our operations directly within ITE, we are investing in the very source of future innovators." His words highlight the commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation that extends beyond academic boundaries.

The initiative has garnered significant support from educational, business, and government leaders, who recognize its regional impact and importance in enhancing the institution's standing. The CoE is poised to become a continuous resource for Zventus, following a successful model that has seen the firm host over seven generations of interns from across North and Central America since 2016.

Moreover, Dr. Valentín Sánchez Beltrán, Director of ITE, noted, "By collaborating with an industry leader like Zventus, we are validating the quality of our academic programs and ensuring our students have an unparalleled competitive edge in the global marketplace." This perspective underscores the collaborative effort to elevate educational standards and student employability through real-world experience.

A Celebration of Innovation

The launch event drew a sizable attendance, including key figures such as Angel Alban, Dr. Valentín Arquímedes Sánchez Beltrán, and representatives from the Baja California Ministry of Economy and Innovation. The strong presence of students, local industry leaders, and government officials demonstrated robust community support for this innovative project, reinforcing the shared commitment to cultivating a new generation of tech-savvy professionals.
