Oceanco Unveils Remarkable Yachts Leviathan and Draak at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show

At the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show, Oceanco, the renowned luxury yacht builder, is excited to showcase two groundbreaking vessels: Leviathan and Draak. These yachts, belonging to the visionary Gabe Newell, symbolize Oceanco's dedication to pushing the boundaries of yacht design and functionality.

Leviathan, measuring 111 meters (364 feet), represents a monumental shift in how vessels are designed and utilized. Delivered to Newell in November 2025, this yacht features a modern communal layout that enhances interaction between guests and crew. With amenities specifically designed to serve multiple functions—from a dive center and laboratory to a hospital—Leviathan is not only a luxury yacht but also a floating support base for various scientific endeavors.

On the other hand, Draak, at 93 meters (305 feet), has recently undergone a significant rebuild by Oceanco's Life Cycle Support team. Delivered in June 2026, Draak has been transformed into a highly functional companion yacht for Leviathan, equipped with advanced diving facilities and essential tools that facilitate scientific exploration. The operational synergy between these two vessels creates a dynamic duo ready to tackle the environmental challenges of today.

Oceanco prides itself on collaborating closely with its clients to bring their visions to life. According to Marcel Onkenhout, CEO of Oceanco, “Every owner we work with brings a different vision, and every project challenges us in a different way.” This collaborative spirit has fueled the innovative approaches seen in both Leviathan and Draak, resulting in designs that prioritize crew well-being and operational efficiency.

Newell, who joined the Oceanco team in July 2025, is thrilled to share his mission with the yachts he commissioned. “With Inkfish, we try to focus on being of service to the scientific community,” he emphasizes, highlighting how both yachts are designed to support scientific research missions by providing the necessary tools, technology, and funding for groundbreaking projects.

The Monaco Yacht Show not only marks the debut of these remarkable yachts but also showcases Oceanco's ongoing expansion of its collaborative ecosystem. With partnerships that include companies like Alewijnse and Winel, alongside established experts such as Aluship and Mercury, Oceanco is poised to welcome even more ambitious projects from prospective yacht owners.

This year’s event offers Oceanco an invaluable platform to connect with clients and industry professionals, presenting Leviathan and Draak at the cruise terminal and across various hospitality spaces. Potential clients interested in unique yacht designs are encouraged to book personal consultations with Oceanco’s dedicated Sales and Life Cycle Support teams.

As the yacht industry continues to evolve, Oceanco remains committed to redefining luxury yacht design while integrating modern technology to enhance the ownership experience. Gabe Newell reflects on this journey, stating, “Our aim is to identify interesting technologies, prototype them, and move them into production.” With such a vision driving their efforts, Oceanco looks forward to unveiling more transformational projects in the years to come at events like the Monaco Yacht Show.
