Biomerics Announces New General Manager for Winston-Salem Facility, Tera Laken
Biomerics Appoints Tera Laken as General Manager
Biomerics, a prominent player in the medical device manufacturing sector, recently announced the promotion of Tera Laken to General Manager of its Winston-Salem, North Carolina facility. This transition comes as Ken Hogue, the outgoing General Manager, prepares to retire after an influential eleven-year tenure with the company.
Throughout his time at Biomerics, Hogue has played a vital role in the company’s evolution, including facilitating the merger of Precision Concepts Group with Biomerics in 2023. His efforts have significantly shaped the Winston-Salem facility into a leading institution within the medical device industry. Tyler Reed, President of Biomerics' Micro Metals Division, expressed deep gratitude for Hogue’s dedication, stating, "Ken has been a mentor to many, leading by example and positively impacting thousands of our employees over the years."
Although Hogue is stepping down from his managerial role, he will continue to collaborate with Biomerics in a reduced capacity, providing guidance to Laken through the end of 2026. This transition is intended to ensure a seamless handover of responsibilities and maintain the existing momentum within the facility.
As the new General Manager, Laken is tasked with overseeing all operations at the Winston-Salem site. Her priorities include fostering growth, enhancing operational efficiencies, and implementing effective systems that promote a culture of excellence across the board. Furthermore, she is committed to delivering outstanding customer service while also focusing on product profitability and maintaining high employee morale.
Laken commented on her appointment, stating, "This promotion means a great deal — not just professionally but personally as well. I'm excited to take on the responsibility and am fully committed to delivering results, supporting our Winston-Salem team, and continuing to contribute to the company's success."
Arun Mohan, the CEO of Biomerics, conveyed confidence in Laken’s ability to lead, remarking, "Our success has always been rooted in innovation, manufacturing excellence and a relentless focus on serving our customers. Tera is the right choice to build on the foundation laid by Ken Hogue and the founders of Precision Concepts Group."
