The Shinjuku Kabukicho Shunga Exhibition, titled "Cultural Moments of Connection: Celebrate 'Wa'," has received immense positive feedback and is now extended through October 5, 2025. The extension period, termed
Special Week (from October 1 to 5), promises an exciting lineup of daily events, ensuring new discoveries and enjoyment for both first-time visitors and returning guests.
Special Week Event Schedule
The exhibition will be open to attendees during the following hours:
- - October 1 (Wed): 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- - October 2 (Thu): 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- - October 3 (Fri): 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- - October 4 (Sat): 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM
- - October 5 (Sun): 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Final Day!)
Note: Last admission is 30 minutes before closing time each day.
Ticket Information
- - General Admission: ¥2,200
- Free for one caretaker accompanying a person with a disability.
- - The exhibition operates on a reservation basis (time-slot tickets), which can be purchased online. If there are available slots on the day, visitors may pay at the entrance.
- - Tickets allow access to both the Shinjuku Kabukicho Noh Stage and the second venue. Re-entry on the same day is permitted for ticket holders.

October 4: Final Maki Tezuka's Tour
Maki Tezuka will lead the final interpretation tour of Shunga, encouraging discussions among participants about their experiences, allowing for new learnings and reflections.
