On September 26, 2025, the vibrant neighborhood of Kanda Nishikicho will come alive with the Sixth 'Goen Day', hosted at the Chiyoda Platform Square and surrounding roads. This event, organized by the Kanda Nishikicho 'Goen Day' Executive Committee, is supported by numerous sponsors and local businesses, including Yasuda Real Estate Co., led by President Mamoru Yasuda.

'Goen Day' is a unique celebration that brings together the community for a day of joy, sports, delicious food, and entertainment. The event's theme revolves around local festivities, fostering connections throughout the neighborhood.

2. Sports Competitions

A highlight of the day is the traditional tug-of-war competition, which has now become an anticipated fixture of the event. This year, 34 teams from local businesses and organizations will compete passionately for the title of Kanda Nishikicho Tug-of-War Champion!

3. Nishikicho Food Village

Experience the flavors of Kanda Nishikicho as local restaurants present exclusive festival menus for one day only. Our urban food village will recreate the nostalgic atmosphere of traditional street vendors, offering a delightful assortment of treats for all to enjoy.

4. Exciting Entertainment

From middle school performances to high school song leaders and brass bands, attendees will have the chance to engage in workshops and enjoy activities with local artisans, including kendama experts. Children can also participate in fun games hosted by the Kanda Fire Department and local companies, while savoring traditional offerings like the showcasing of ceremonial mikoshi and communal tea serving.

All community members, whether residents, workers, or students, are invited to gather and partake in the festivities. Everyone can enjoy playing, eating, and engaging in sports, cultivating old bonds and creating new friendships.
