SANYO HOMES Co., Ltd., led by President Hisashi Matsuoka, proudly announces the launch of the 23rd Children's ECO Painting Contest. Open to children under the age of twelve, this event aims to stimulate creativity and promote discussions around sustainable living.

About the Contest

The theme for this year's contest encourages children to imagine and illustrate what "a home that brings joy to both people and the Earth" looks like. In keeping with the company's dedication to sustainable housing, the event seeks to inspire families to engage in meaningful conversations about eco-friendly lifestyles. The contest aims to collect submissions that showcase the pure perspectives and rich creativity of children, filled with hope for the future.

In the previous contest, Riko Harada, a sixth-grader from Aichi Prefecture, won the top prize. Her winning artwork exemplified the spirit of the competition, showcasing the profound imagination and ecological consciousness that we hope to cultivate among future generations.

Contest Details

Eligibility

- Open to children until the 6th grade.

Theme

- Participants are invited to creatively depict their vision of "a home that brings joy to both people and the Earth".

Submission Period

- July 20, 2026 (Monday) to August 31, 2026 (Monday).

Prizes

- Grand Prize: ¥100,000 gift certificate (1 winner).
- Eco & Safety Award: Apple iPad (1 winner).
- Excellence Awards: 3 Nintendo Switch consoles (3 winners).
- Special Awards: ¥10,000 bookstore gift cards (6 winners).

Submission Guidelines

- Artwork can be painted on dedicated application forms or A3 Kent paper and can utilize any medium, including paints and crayons. If using a form other than the dedicated application paper, please print the application ticket, fill in the required details, and submit it along with the artwork.

Submission Process

- Works can be delivered to any SANYO HOMES sales location (exhibition halls, sales offices, condominium sales centers, or SANYO Living Support Centers) or sent to the contest office by mail.

Judging

- Judging will take place in October 2026, conducted by the executive committee of the 23rd Children's ECO Painting Contest.
