Lancôme and PVA Join Forces to Empower Women with Disabilities Ahead of International Women's Day

Lancôme Partners with PVA to Empower Women with Disabilities

As we approach International Women's Day on March 8, 2025, Lancôme and Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA) have announced a significant partnership aimed at empowering women with disabilities. This collaboration highlights their shared commitment to ensure that these women are not only seen but also heard, respected, and empowered in every aspect of their lives.

In an innovative step towards inclusivity, Lancôme has collaborated with PVA members nationwide to test its revolutionary HAPTA device. This groundbreaking handheld smart makeup applicator has been designed for individuals with limited hand and arm mobility. Utilizing self-stabilizing technology, HAPTA enables users to apply makeup effortlessly and evenly, thereby enhancing their ability to participate in the beauty landscape like never before. This initiative aligns with Lancôme’s mission to harness technology for good, making beauty accessible to all.

To celebrate this impactful partnership, Lancôme locations across the country will distribute tote bags filled with select Lancôme products to individuals receiving complimentary services on International Women's Day. This gesture aims not only to promote Lancôme’s products but also to symbolize the brand's dedication to uplifting women with disabilities, particularly those who have served in the military.

Tammy Jones, U.S. Army Veteran and PVA National Senior Vice President, stated, "Lancôme is a champion of women's empowerment, making them the perfect partner as we tackle our shared mission to support women with disabilities in every facet of their lives." Women veterans, who represent the fastest-growing demographic within the veteran community, often face unique challenges that have been historically overlooked. Through this collaboration, both Lancôme and PVA are committed to addressing the needs of all women with disabilities, including those with spinal cord injuries and diseases like MS and ALS.

Ramzy Burns, General Manager of Lancôme USA, echoes this sentiment, affirming, "There is no better time than today to kick off this amazing collaboration with PVA – a day that champions women. I believe that every woman deserves to be seen for who they truly are – a whole person with strength, beauty, and endless potential." By prioritizing the needs and concerns of this ever-growing community, Lancôme demonstrates that caring for others is an integral part of its identity.

Moving forward into 2025, Lancôme and PVA have planned two major initiatives to further support and empower women with disabilities. First, Lancôme will sponsor PVA's Women Veterans Empowerment Retreat, an annual multi-day event aimed at fostering holistic well-being among women veterans with disabilities. Slated for October 2025 in Minneapolis, the retreat will provide leadership sessions, networking opportunities, and a supportive environment for education and connection. Additionally, it will honor the resilience of women athletes through sponsorship of the 2025 National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Minneapolis scheduled for July 2025.
