New Horizons for NICE WEATHER in Japan
In March 2026, the beloved Korean lifestyle store
NICE WEATHER is set to launch two new locations in Japan: one in
Shinjuku at Lumine Est, and another in
Funabashi at LaLaport Tokyo-Bay. Known for its captivating blend of casual fashion, home goods, and sweets, this brand is expanding its reach with exclusive collaborations, including exciting new products with the plush toy brand
mojojojo.
About NICE WEATHER
Founded in 2020 in Seoul,
NICE WEATHER has redefined the retail landscape by presenting a concept resembling a next-generation department store, drawing inspiration from convenience stores. Their efforts have led to securing exclusive sales and licensing rights in Japan, starting with a successful launch in April 2025 at the Hankyu Umeda flagship store and online through their official e-commerce site. Currently, they operate two locations in Japan and continue to expand their online presence.
New Store Features
The newly inaugurated
Shinjuku store on
March 11, 2026, will mirror the uniquely vibrant atmosphere of its South Korean counterpart, offering a wide selection of apparel including t-shirts, sweaters, and other casual wear, as well as a variety of accessories and cosmetics.
Funabashi, opening a bit later on
March 17, 2026, will feature a unique merger between
NICE WEATHER and
California General Store, presenting a cross-cultural shopping experience that highlights the charm of both the West Coast of the United States and South Korean influences.
At the
Shinjuku store, a convenient L-shaped counter filled with unique goods will welcome visitors in a setting reminiscent of a cozy convenience store.
Funabashi will showcase its offerings within a space that encourages dialogue between the two distinct cultures, enhancing the customer experience.
Delicious Treats and Unique Merchandise
Both locations promise to extend the allure of Korean culture through innovative food offerings, including local sweet snacks and marshmallow treats. Customers can also indulge in exclusive
mojojojo merchandise, with 18 character charms and accompanying t-shirt designs produced under this collaboration. The idea behind the partnership stems from enhancing the cuteness of
NICE WEATHER products through the charming characters of
mojojojo, a brand renowned for its whimsical designs, crafted by the talented artist
Aimi Ozaki.
To celebrate the openings, both the
Shinjuku and
Funabashi stores will offer exclusive promotions for customers who spend above certain thresholds, such as free eco-bags or special edition frisbees, encouraging visitors to come and partake in the exciting new offerings. However, supplies are limited, emphasizing the high demand for these exclusive items.
A Glimpse into the Product Line
Some highlights from the upcoming product line include nylon jackets priced at
23,980 yen, half-zip sweatshirts at
16,940 yen, and various stylish caps ranging from
5,940 yen. All items are particularly crafted to cater to a fashion-savvy audience eager for fresh, trendy styles.
Future Prospects
With a vision that revolves around delivering joy akin to a sunny day,
NICE WEATHER aims to provide not just a shopping destination, but an immersive experience in its cultural offerings. As they expand further into Japan, the anticipation surrounding these new locations is palpable, indicating a bright future for this innovative lifestyle brand.
As the world of retail continuously evolves,
NICE WEATHER emerges as a beacon of contemporary shopping experience, bridging cultures and paving the way for new trends in lifestyle retail.
