Unconventional Experience at the CPR Disco, Combining Music and Life-Saving Skills

CPR Disco: A Unique Fusion of Music and CPR Training

On August 10, 2025, a remarkable event will take place at Club ORD in Daikanyama, where music and life-saving skills join forces. The CPR Disco will be held for the first time as a standalone event on the aptly named Heart Day. This innovative experience aims to teach attendees the vital technique of CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in an engaging club atmosphere.

The event is the brainchild of two talented individuals: Riiichiro Nakama, known as Afro-mance, a party creator from Afro&Co, and Yusuke Yamada, a current nurse and director of the Fast Aid organization. Their collaboration results in a pioneering event themed around the intersection of health and entertainment.

Music Meets Medicine

Did you know that the rhythm of the music played at the CPR Disco aligns perfectly with the ideal tempo for performing CPR? At the event, DJs will spin tracks with a BPM (beats per minute) of 110 to 120, which is considered optimal for administering proper chest compressions.

Participants will engage in hands-on CPR training, using plastic bottles to simulate the breaking down of resistance with the appropriate rhythm for heart compression. This interactive setup allows attendees to learn this essential skill while enjoying the lively club environment, making it both fun and educational.

With every beat, attendees will imprint the rhythm required for effective CPR onto their muscle memory, turning an arguably daunting task into a rhythmical and enjoyable experience. Imagine dancing along to the music while simultaneously learning how to save a life—truly a groundbreaking concept!

Star-Studded Performances

The event will feature an impressive lineup of artists, including DJs and live performers, all mixing their talents with the BPM range necessary for CPR training. This includes well-known acts like Afro&Go (Afro-mance and DJ GO), DJ KOMORI, and many more, enhancing the unique ambience of the club. The performances are set to be synchronized with the CPR training sessions, interweaving entertainment with essential skills.

From Pop-Up to Standalone Event

Previously, CPR Disco began as a pop-up experience at various medical conferences, community events, outdoor festivals, and more, garnering great attention from both medical professionals and media outlets. Now, on Heart Day—August 10—the event finally transitions to a standalone experience, solidifying its place on the social calendar.

This new club experience offers a chance to listen to one’s heartbeat while syncing it with music, creating an intimate and relative connection between art and humanity. The organizers encourage everyone to come and witness this one-of-a-kind event.
