ServiceMaster Restore and Hire Heroes USA Collaborate for Annual Veterans Golf Tournament Event

ServiceMaster Restore and Hire Heroes USA Team Up for Annual Golf Tournament

ServiceMaster Restore and ServiceMaster Clean have joined forces again this year to host the fourth annual We Serve: Veterans Golf Tournament on May 28, 2026, at the prestigious TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. This much-anticipated event showcases an ongoing commitment by both companies to support Hire Heroes USA, an organization dedicated to creating job opportunities for veterans and military families.

Since the inception of their partnership in 2023, the efforts of ServiceMaster Restore and ServiceMaster Clean have garnered more than $700,000 in funds to support Hire Heroes USA’s mission of providing free career services to veterans and their spouses. This year's tournament is expected to attract about 200 participants, including notable figures such as Florida's lieutenant governor, Jay Collins.

John Tovar, the group president at ServiceMaster Restore and Clean, expressed pride in the partnership with Hire Heroes USA, highlighting the overwhelming support received from the franchise networks. He noted, "From this annual golf event to the numerous local events hosted by our franchisees, our networks have embraced this partnership, making it their own."

In recognition of their efforts, ServiceMaster Restore was named the Partner of the Year by Hire Heroes USA for 2025. Beyond fundraising, the organizations work together year-round to facilitate employment opportunities for qualified veterans, linking them directly with the job postings available within the ServiceMaster Restore network.

Ross Dickman, CEO of Hire Heroes USA, emphasized the significant impact this collaboration has, saying, "Every team, department, and franchise across ServiceMaster has seized the opportunity to create meaningful outcomes for veterans and military spouses. This alignment of our mission generates tangible benefits not just for the military families we assist, but also for the communities involved."

One franchise owner, Air Force veteran Chris Jeter, highlighted the personal significance of this event. Jeter understands the struggles many face when transitioning from military to civilian life and appreciates the supportive role Hire Heroes USA plays in that process. "Even if I’m not a golfer, it’s great to connect with fellow veterans, share stories, and build camaraderie, which is invaluable for us as we adjust to civilian life," he stated.

Tournaments like these serve not only to draw attention to the essential work of Hire Heroes USA but also significantly contribute to funding their crucial programs aimed at placing veterans and military spouses in fulfilling careers.

Dickman reinforced the necessity for businesses to prioritize hiring veterans and military spouses, asserting that organizations like ServiceMaster Restore understand the dual benefits of assisting this demographic while also enhancing their competitive edge. He elaborated that veterans bring exceptional qualities such as leadership, adaptability, and a mission-oriented mindset that enriches workplace culture and drives growth.

Additionally, franchise owners across the nation are organizing similar events in their local areas. For instance, one event recently took place in Charleston, South Carolina, led by franchisee Justin Beinkampen, who noted that a significant percentage of the local population has military ties. Beinkampen remarked, "Our community has always had a strong relationship with the armed forces, making our collaboration with Hire Heroes a natural fit. Veterans embody the service-oriented mentality, which aligns perfectly with our business scope."

A strong turnout at these events sheds light on the capability and value that veterans and military spouses contribute to today’s workforce. The incredible participation from franchisees, vendors, partners, and military guests enables the ongoing mission to ensure that veterans have the opportunity to effectively integrate their skills into the labor market.

Tovar concluded, "Our annual golf tournament has transformed into a highly anticipated event among our partners, who understand the significance of Hire Heroes’ mission. It’s heartening to see our franchisees and partners readily offering their time and resources to aid those who have served our nation. The veteran community has sacrificed immensely, and it’s only fitting that we find ways to give back."
