Akiyama Manatsu Explores Okayama Wagyu at ZEN-NOH Meat Center

Akiyama Manatsu Discovers the Delicacies of Okayama Wagyu

On April 15, Akiyama Manatsu, a beloved public figure and supporter for JA Town, journeyed to the ZEN-NOH Okayama Meat Center to learn about the renowned Okayama Wagyu beef. This visit was part of her ongoing YouTube series, 'Yurufuwa Time', where she shares knowledge about Japanese agriculture and cuisine with a laid-back and friendly approach.

The episode featured a thorough exploration of the meat center’s operations, which aim to maintain and expand the stable supply of livestock from Okayama Prefecture. Akiyama had the unique opportunity to witness the meticulous process of hand-cutting and slicing the high-quality Okayama Wagyu. From filet steaks and sirloin to flavorful kalbi and shoulder slices, she evaluated various cuts to select the perfect meat for her new dish.

In addition to tasting the beef cuts, Akiyama engaged in developing a specialized sauce using a local ingredient, yellow garlic chives. This ingredient not only enhances the taste but also adds a regional touch that is essential to the new menu item. To conclude the tasting experience, Akiyama chose Ayatomi Farm's ice cream as dessert – a lovely way to sweeten her culinary journey.

The episode culminated in Akiyama revealing the name of her newly crafted dish, leaving viewers thrilled for a chance to try it out. You can check out the full experience in the stream titled 'Akiyama Manatsu Creates a New Yakiniku Menu with Okayama's Unique Sauce!' Watch here.
