Book Santa Support Cards: A Heartfelt Initiative for Children

In a world where numerous children face disparities in access to valuable learning resources like books, a new initiative is stepping up to make a real difference. Starting from November 4, 2026, a unique program called the Book Santa Support Card will be available, offering a way for individuals to contribute to children's access to books while making their purchases.

The Book Santa Support Card comes in two convenient formats: Card Type and Digital Type. Each purchase not only provides the buyer with a book card but also supports a good cause. Each card sold contributes 10% of its selling price to charity. For instance, if you purchase a card for 1,100 yen, 100 yen goes directly to the non-profit organization, Charity Santa, which supports children in need.

Features and Details of the Support Cards

Card Type

• - Face Value: 5,000 yen
• - Selling Price: 5,500 yen (excluding tax, with additional shipping costs)
• - Donation Amount: 500 yen

The Card Type is a beautifully designed card that comes complete with a special backing, depicting a touching scene where a child appears to be reading alongside the book card. It's perfectly suited as a gift that conveys both love for reading and compassion toward those less fortunate.

Digital Type

• - Available Face Values: 500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 5,000, and 10,000 yen
• - Selling Price: Face value plus 10% (e.g., buying a 1,000 yen card costs 1,100 yen)
• - Donation Amount: 10% of the face value (e.g., 100 yen for a 1,000 yen card)

The Digital Type provides flexibility and convenience. Available in multiple denominations, it allows everyone to contribute at a comfortable level. Purchasers can send these as emails to the recipients, making for a thoughtful gift.

Both card types not only serve as functional book cards, usable at participating locations, but they also play a significant role in supporting the Book Santa initiative, which aims to deliver books to children who lack access.
