Discover the Inaugural Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial
Abu Dhabi has proudly launched its first-ever Public Art Abu Dhabi Biennial, a groundbreaking event highlighting the region's cultural richness and creativity. This initiative, which runs until April 30, 2025, has transformed Abu Dhabi and Al Ain into lively open-air galleries, where art is not just displayed but made accessible to everyone.
A Celebration of Art and Community
The biennial celebrates the concept of 'public' by fostering connections across communities through art. It aims to redefine the way art interacts with the urban landscape and emphasizes inclusivity. This year, organizers have chosen to set up installations in prominent downtown areas of both cities, inviting residents and visitors alike to explore the exhibits freely.
Over 70 international artists have contributed to the event, each presenting site-specific installations and performances that directly engage with the surroundings. This eclectic mix of works reflects how art intertwines with community dynamics, environmental themes, and individual identities.
