Explore the Intersection of Art and Modern Living with MW's New Project

A Fusion of Art and Living Spaces: The MW Artist in Living Home Project

In an exciting development for contemporary living, Embedded Blue, based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has partnered with MW, a pioneering company in modern housing solutions, to launch the 'MW Artist in Living Home' project. This initiative aims to transform new residential spaces into venues for contemporary art exhibitions, beginning with an inaugural showcase titled 'Embracing Time' at MW's newly constructed home in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, starting September 11, 2026.

The vision behind this project is not just to provide housing but to create an enduring relationship between art and residents' lives. With a focus on developing intelligent living spaces, MW utilizes a unique blend of architecture, AI, and robotics through its flagship 'Living Home' product. This next-generation housing solution incorporates AI robots, known as 'MW bot', which handle daily chores, allowing occupants more time to engage with their personal enrichments and artistic pursuits.

The Inaugural Exhibition: 'Embracing Time'

The first exhibition, 'Embracing Time', is deliberately designed to challenge our perceptions of time in architecture. It is curated to present aging as a form of beauty rather than a deterioration, showcasing works that embrace the passage of time and the traces left behind. Featured artists will explore the intricate dialogue between architecture and art, allowing visitors to reflect on the significant moments shared between human experiences and the structures in which they live.

Five artists will participate in this exhibition, each with a unique perspective on the interplay between time and materiality:
  • - Fumiya Odagawa
  • - Riku Fujisaki
  • - Shingo Horiguchi
  • - Masahiro Masuda
  • - Ryosuke Misawa

These artists have a profound ability to harmonize their work with the ever-changing environments of the homes they inhabit, creating a dynamic platform for interaction between viewers, the artworks, and the house itself. During the exhibition, the artists will be present on select days, inviting attendees to engage in dialogue about their creative processes and insights.
