BBYO International Convention 2025: Uniting Jewish Teens for Leadership and Inspiration
BBYO International Convention 2025: A Global Gathering of Jewish Youth
The BBYO International Convention (IC) 2025 is set to take place in Denver, Colorado, from February 13 to 17, and it promises to be a remarkable event for Jewish teens around the world. Nearly 3,500 participants from 50 countries will gather for this monumental occasion, making it the largest annual assembly of Jewish teen leaders. With a theme of Limitless Horizons, the event aims to empower young leaders to explore diverse perspectives and seize opportunities for their communities.
During the five-day convention, attendees will engage with a lineup of influential speakers and prominent figures. Notable guests include actor and musician Asher Angel, award-winning actor Giancarlo Esposito, and Olympic gold medalists Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall. This gathering offers a unique chance for participants to learn from these change-makers through a variety of programs designed to inspire and guide them.
The IC 2025 experience is designed not only for personal enrichment but also for communal bonding among Jewish teens who represent diverse backgrounds. Participants will explore pertinent social issues, celebrate their Jewish identities, and take part in Shabbat celebrations. They will also enjoy hands-on service projects, sports tournaments, and exclusive musical performances, creating a lively atmosphere of collaboration and joy.
One of the standout features of this year's convention is the integration of service experiences and leadership labs. Teens will have access to 42 learning and service opportunities at various Denver venues, such as the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Institute for Animal-Human Connection. This hands-on approach ensures that all participants can apply their learning in real-world contexts while connecting with local communities.
Moreover, a special focus will be placed on the Stand UP Cause, where teens are encouraged to donate books in any language to promote literacy and education. This initiative exemplifies BBYO's commitment to social responsibility and community support.
The event will include innovative experiences like the Mini Israel interactive space celebrating Israeli culture through music, games, and immersive activities. The IC Film Festival is also a highlight, providing an avenue for teens to showcase their creativity and passion for Jewish life through filmmaking.
Additionally, the Podcast Studio at IC will offer participants the chance to interview VIP guests and create their own podcasts, embracing the digital media landscape and allowing young voices to be heard.
For those unable to attend in person, select sessions will be live-streamed via BBYO's social media platforms, ensuring that the inspirational energy of the convention can reach even wider audiences.
The BBYO International Convention not only serves as a platform for youth leadership but also stands as a testament to the vibrant and diverse Jewish community. With representation from 500 non-U.S. delegates across regions like Europe, Asia, Latin America, and beyond, this year's gathering marks a significant stride in BBYO's global outreach, promoting inclusivity and cultural exchange.
As Matt Grossman, CEO of BBYO, emphasizes, the convention is a pivotal opportunity for Jewish teens to forge connections, reinforce their identities, and collaborate on facing the challenges ahead. The fervor and creativity displayed by the attendees are sure to push the boundaries of what the BBYO movement can achieve, inspiring a new generation of leaders ready to make an impact.
