On September 15, 2026, SEGA, headquartered in Shinagawa, Tokyo, announced the launch of their new owned media platform:
SEGAWAY. This initiative embodies SEGA's commitment to their corporate mission of "Empower the Gamers," providing a glimpse into the path SEGA has traveled and the entertainment culture it continues to forge.

To complement its launch, SEGAWAY features an original content piece titled "Empower the Gamers: The Spirit Passed Down from Virtua Fighter to VIRTUA FIGHTER CROSSROADS." This content showcases an event featuring prominent figures including Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, Haruki Satomi, SEGA's President & CEO, and Akira Nishiyama, as well as Yu Suzuki, the legendary creator of Virtua Fighter. The launch includes special interview footage where Nishiyama and Suzuki reflect on their experiences, providing invaluable insights into game creation.
In addition to this, SEGAWAY will regularly publish event reports and other original content to keep its audience engaged. New material will continue to be produced and shared, ensuring the platform remains fresh and relevant.
