UBILITE Enhances Advisory Board for Innovative Low-Power SoC at CES 2026
UBILITE Expands Advisory Board to Drive Future Innovations
UBILITE, a trailblazer in ultra-low power connectivity solutions for the AI peripheral landscape, has made a strategic move by expanding its advisory board. This decision coincides with the company’s preparation to launch a groundbreaking system-on-chip (SoC) designed for next-generation wearables, personal AI peripherals, and IoT sensors at CES 2026.
The innovative SoC, named UB411A, is a combined 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 4 and BLE 5.4 chipset. It is engineered to provide reliable, secure, and high-speed cloud connectivity of up to 72.2 Mbps while maintaining power consumption rates that are up to 15 times lower than currently available alternatives. This level of efficiency enables an impressive extension of battery life for always-on devices, addressing a critical consumer demand.
New Additions to the Advisory Board
The board expansion includes distinguished members who bring a wealth of experience and expertise in wireless communications and technologies. Dr. Edward Frank, an established authority in the field has previously held executive roles at Broadcom and Apple, earning recognition as an IEEE Fellow for his remarkable contributions to the Wi-Fi commercialization landscape. Joining him is Michael Leabman, a serial entrepreneur noted for his proficiency in transforming RF, semiconductor, and AI engineering advancements into market-leading products at companies like Energous and Movano.
They will be working alongside other seasoned professionals already on the board, including Duane Nelles, a Qualcomm veteran with three decades of experience; Dave Welch, an industry leader with a notable 40-year career that includes tenure as CTO at SDL; and Ernie Moody, the President of Action Gaming, recognized in the Gaming Hall of Fame.
Shaping Future Markets
George Holmes, UBILITE’s Chairman and CEO, emphasized the business potential of the new chipset, noting, “With a $2 trillion addressable market for next-generation personal devices, the ability of our new chipset to power these products represents a transformative market opportunity for the company.” He underlined that the combined expertise of the advisory board will play a pivotal role in developing the company’s market strategy, positioning UBILITE at the forefront of new technology solutions.
The advisory board will be chaired by Peter Gammel, UBILITE's President and COO, known for his extensive background in RF and semiconductor technologies. His previous roles as CTO at Skyworks, Agere, and Global Foundries bolster his qualifications to guide the company through its next phase of growth.
