This concert, titled ‘UNDERTALE WIND SYMPHONY in KYOTO’, will feature the powerful and emotional soundtrack delivered by the renowned Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra, making it a first-of-its-kind official wind orchestra concert dedicated to this beloved game in Japan.

About UNDERTALE: Released in 2015 and created by Toby Fox, UNDERTALE has captured hearts worldwide with its unique blend of humor, charm, and storytelling. Players are drawn into its vibrant world populated by quirky characters and morally complex decisions that influence the game’s narrative.

The game's music is integral to its experience, evoking memories and emotions tied to key moments throughout the gameplay. Melodies filled with depth and connection to the characters will resound in a new and vibrant interpretation through the orchestra’s performance.

The Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra, established in 1923, proudly celebrates its 100th anniversary. Known as Shion, this orchestra has built a legacy of musical excellence, performing a remarkable array of music from classical pieces to contemporary favorites. Under the baton of Conductor Tomo Nishimura, audiences can look forward to an exhilarating mix of sound, emotion, and storytelling that only a live orchestra can provide.

About the Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra

The Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra has proudly maintained a tradition of musical excellence since its founding. Having transitioned from a publicly funded organization to private in 2014, it embraced the name Osaka Shion Wind Orchestra in 2015. Their commitment includes expanding musical culture through performances, educational activities, and recordings.

The orchestra has received multiple awards for its contributions, including the Osaka Cultural Festival Award and the Japan Band Contest Award. Currently, it is under the musical direction of Akira Miyakawa, with Douglas Bostock serving as principal conductor.
