Mynavi Partners Initiates Employment Support for Disabled Individuals
Mynavi Partners, a company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, led by CEO Yu Fujimoto, has officially launched a comprehensive support service for small businesses focused on disability employment. This initiative is backed by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's ‘Disability Employment Consultation Assistance Grant.’ The service aims to assist small companies from recruitment through to integration and evaluation, utilizing insights from its own experience as a special subsidiary where approximately 80% of employees have disabilities and maintaining an impressive 88% retention rate after one year.
The Changing Landscape of Disability Employment
In recent years, the demand for disability employment has been growing, driven by an increase in statutory employment quotas. However, new policy challenges have emerged, emphasizing the quality of employment and the successful integration of disabled individuals into the workforce. Issues such as low retention rates for individuals with mental disabilities and rigid job roles highlight the need for better corporate know-how, which remains a significant barrier to employment.
Mynavi Partners is committed to addressing these obstacles by providing comprehensive support that enables disabled talents to become integral assets within organizations, thereby enhancing employment opportunities in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Introducing Expert Consultants
The service will be led by specialized consultants with extensive experience in disability employment. Mynavi Partners provides tailored support based on the specific needs of each business, from recruitment to ensuring successful integration and evaluation. This hands-on approach allows the consultant team to assist companies in building sustainable frameworks that facilitate effective disability employment practices.

Mynavi Partners' Strengths
As a special subsidiary of Mynavi Group, the company does more than provide support; it actively implements integrated practices around hiring, placement, training, and retention of disabled employees. As of May 2026, 345 employees will be part of our team, with disabilities comprising 80% of that number, showcasing the company’s commitment to providing real-world examples of successful disability employment. Our capabilities have expanded to over 2,200 tasks, including higher-level roles in IT and creative sectors. This has allowed us to assist over 700 corporate partners in implementing effective disability employment strategies.
From Quantity to Quality: The Shift in Employment Strategy
As of late, the number of employed disabled individuals in Japanese private enterprises has reached approximately 705,000—a record high. Moving beyond merely increasing numbers, the focus is shifting towards enhancing the quality of employment and ensuring that disabled individuals can contribute effectively within their roles. However, a gap still exists between the employment of disabled individuals and their active engagement in workplaces. This remains especially pronounced in small businesses where, despite hiring being legally mandated, many still struggle to employ even one individual with a disability.
Retention rates for individuals with mental disabilities particularly lag behind, standing at only 49.3% after a year. By adapting employment policies to focus on ‘ability demonstration’, ‘evaluation’, and ‘retention’, organizations can make tangible strides in realizing the potential of disabled hires as valuable workforce members.
Service Details
Starting from June 1, 2026, Mynavi Partners will offer its consulting services to small businesses interested in implementing or enhancing their disability employment practices. Companies yet to hire disabled employees or those failing to meet legal hiring quotas are encouraged to apply. Our goal is to provide those enterprises with comprehensive assistance at no cost, utilizing the aforementioned grant program, guiding them from the recruitment phase to employee retention strategies.
Mynavi Partners seeks to foster a more inclusive work environment, showcasing that hiring individuals with disabilities is not merely a legal obligation but a strategy for enhancing business value itself.
