Recorded live at GCR Audio in Buffalo, New York, the track features Calkins on a Yamaha grand piano that he praises as one of the finest he has ever played. Recording sessions for the album took place at GCR Audio and Mammoth Recording Studio, concluding in Calkins's home studio. The mixing and mastering process was handled by Brad Lauchert, while engineering was executed by Michael Bridges and Joey Bastian. Cover art and collage work for the album were created by artist Kevin Kurecki.
