Celebrate Good Baths with Florida Sundae

On April 25-26, 2026, Akagi Nyugyo will host a special event, “After Bath Florida Sunday,” at Hidamari no Izumi Haginoyu in Taito, Tokyo. This unique sampling occasion aligns with the “Good Bath Day” celebrated on April 26. The company aims to make Florida Sundae accessible to more people, building on last year’s successful national sampling, which welcomed approximately 5,000 attendees.

The event will feature the distribution of 2,600 free Florida Sundaes over the two days for bathhouse visitors. Participants can also enter a lottery to win exclusive sauna hats and stickers, adding excitement to their experience. Unique to this occasion, guests can enjoy a blueberry-scented Florida Sundae bath, presenting a creative mix of bathing and dessert enjoyment.

In addition to the free treats, the first 100 attendees will receive a sample of the upcoming Florida Sundae Mango, slated for release in June 2026. This new variant features a substantial mango fruit sauce on top, creating a delightful texture and visual appeal, complemented by a tangy mango sauce along the sides for a balanced flavor experience.

The Florida Sundae, originally launched in the 1980s and revived in 2020, has gained popularity for its blend of rich sauces and milk ice cream. Each sundae features two original sauces— one on top and another along the side— designed to maximize enjoyment until the very last bite. This spring, we’ve updated our strawberry and blueberry side sauces, closely mimicking real fruit proportions, and introduced fruit vinegar to enhance the overall flavor, ensuring customers can savor a more delicious treat.
