New CM Series Featuring Eliza Ikeda and Soma Yamadoki

J-POWER has unveiled its latest commercial series, titled "TA no Ikeda-san," featuring the talents of Eliza Ikeda and Soma Yamadoki. This newest chapter marks the second installment of the series, moving from the university setting to the breathtaking Okutadami Dam, incorporating a blend of education and entertainment.

The two new commercials, focusing on the Okutadami Dam’s hydropower facilities, aim to deepen the understanding of J-POWER's operations. The series showcases how the teaching assistant, played by Ikeda, guides the university student Yamadoki through a fieldwork experience at the dam, emphasizing the relationship between learning and the essentials of energy production.

Presenting a vibrant view of J-POWER, where real electricity is generated and delivered, the commercials are designed to evoke a sense of connection and curiosity about the company’s endeavors. Eliza Ikeda, who continues to express her profound admiration for J-POWER, actively engages her fellow students during their adventures to highlight the significance of hydropower in today’s energy landscape.

The commercials, titled "Dam Version" and "Sightseeing Boat Version," are set to be released in both 15-second and 30-second formats on J-POWER's official YouTube channel. They will also air on television starting November 1, during the program "Sound Sonority—A Unique Sound in the World," on Nippon TV every Sunday at 20:54.

Creative Direction by Shinichi Fukasato

The creative direction for these engaging commercials is helmed by Shinichi Fukasato, a renowned figure in the advertising industry responsible for more than 2,000 commercials, including famous campaigns for Toyota and Suntory. His innovative approach has garnered multiple prestigious awards, affirming his reputation in the field.

Meet the Cast

• - Eliza Ikeda: Born on April 16, 1996, in Fukuoka, Japan, Eliza made her debut as an actress in the 2011 film "High School Debut" and has since branched into directing and singing. She is set to star in several upcoming projects, including a leading role in an NHK premium drama and numerous films slated for release in the coming years.

• - Soma Yamadoki: This young talent was born on June 6, 2005, in Tokyo and began his artistic journey at the age of five. After making his film debut in 2016, he recently voiced the protagonist in Hayao Miyazaki’s animated feature "How Do You Live?" With numerous major roles expected in upcoming films and dramas, Yamadoki is a bright star in the Japanese entertainment industry.
