ScaleReady and Partners Present G-Rex Grant to BrainChild Bio for Pediatric Cancer Research

ScaleReady's G-Rex Grant: Supporting Pediatric Cancer Innovation

In a notable advancement for pediatric cancer treatment, ScaleReady, along with partners Wilson Wolf Manufacturing, Bio-Techne Corporation, and CellReady, has granted BrainChild Bio a significant $300,000 G-Rex® Grant. This funding aims to expedite the development and commercial readiness of BCB-276, BrainChild Bio's innovative autologous CAR-T therapy specifically designed to combat diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a highly challenging and currently untreatable brain tumor in children.

The recognition of BrainChild Bio through the G-Rex Grant symbolizes a collective commitment to enhancing cancer treatment solutions for the most vulnerable patients—children facing life-threatening conditions. As highlighted by Dr. Michael Jensen, Chief Scientific Officer at BrainChild Bio, the G-Rex platform has been integral to their clinical CAR-T manufacturing program since its inception in 2012 at Seattle Children's hospital.

"We greatly appreciate the support from ScaleReady's G-Rex Grant Program, which not only provides vital funding but also access to invaluable technical expertise that will enable us to refine and enhance our therapeutic processes," Dr. Jensen mentioned.

Accelerating Clinical Trials
With this grant, BrainChild Bio has plans to move BCB-276 into a multi-center Phase 2 pivotal clinical trial in 2025. This trial aims to assess the therapy's effectiveness in treating children and young adults diagnosed with DIPG. The G-Rex system plays a crucial role in the manufacturing of CAR-T cells, allowing for a streamlined and efficient production process essential for clinical trial success.

John Wilson, CEO of Wilson Wolf Manufacturing, expressed his admiration for the pioneering spirit exhibited by Dr. Jensen and his team over the years. “Their relentless pursuit of cancer cures inspires us all. We are honored to assist in bringing the BCB-276 treatment to those in urgent need,
