Upcoming e-Sports Event: YMIR Cup World Championship Season 2
WEMADE Co., Ltd., under the leadership of CEO Park, Kwan Ho, has officially announced the hosting of the
YMIR Cup World Championship Season 2, a global e-sports tournament featuring the popular MMORPG
Legend of YMIR. This exciting competition is scheduled to take place on
June 27-28, 2026, at the SOOP Coliseum in
Seoul, South Korea. Fans and players can look forward to streaming the matches live on WEMADE's official global YouTube channel and other major streaming platforms.
Overview of the Tournament
The YMIR Cup will comprise several thrilling matches, including the semifinals, finals, and a unique legend match. The semifinals will kick off on
June 27, followed by the finals and the legend match on
June 28. The participating server groups for the championship will be determined through a regional online qualification tournament held from
May 24-31. This qualification process will feature contestants divided into three regions:
Asia, NA/EU, and SA, each competing for a coveted spot in the world championship.
Exciting Participation from Japan
Among the competitors, the
ISEKAI server, managed by Japanese players, has confirmed its entry into the
Asia Region Division 1. Excitement is building among domestic players who will rally behind their home team as the tournament approaches. The online qualification tournament will proceed with
quarterfinals starting May 24, culminating in the
finals on May 31. For detailed match schedules, players can check the official tournament page on the Legend of YMIR website.
Legendary Encounter: World Champions vs. Korean Representatives
The championship-winning server will face off against a formidable team of 250 representatives from South Korea in the highly anticipated legend match. Selection for these representatives will include applications accepted until the end of this month through the
Legend of YMIR Korean official website. The 250 players with the highest combat power rankings will be announced on
June 2, adding to the anticipation.
New Rules Introduced: Life Mode
The
YMIR Cup World Championship will be grounded in the server-versus-server competition that forms the core of
Legend of YMIR. A key new feature, known as
Life Mode, is introduced to enhance the competitive environment of the matches. This mode limits players to a maximum of three respawns, elevating the stakes and immersiveness of the gameplay. Victory will be established by destroying the
Victory Tower situated at the center of the battlefield and successfully transporting the crown to the designated location. Teams will also earn crucial points from boss captures, PvP battles, and more to determine winners if transport fails.
Strengthening Global eSports Presence
WEMADE aims to bolster its international e-sports presence further through the
YMIR Cup World Championship Season 2, providing a platform for players from around the globe to showcase their talents and compete against one another. Continuous updates regarding the tournament will be available on the
Legend of YMIR official website as the event date approaches.
