National Personal Finance Challenge Finals

The Council for Economic Education is gearing up for a thrilling competition that pits some of the nation’s most financially astute high school students against each other. This year, 34 teams from 28 states have made it to the finals of the 14th Annual National Personal Finance Challenge (NPFC), scheduled for June 1-2, 2025, in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is designed to not only test the students’ knowledge of personal finance but also foster skills that are critically important for their future success.

The NPFC encourages teamwork and real-world problem-solving. Competing teams will face off by devising financial plans for fictional families while answering challenging questions related to budgeting, credit management, saving, and investing. This year, nearly 17,500 high school students participated in the preliminary rounds, vying for a chance to showcase their skills and earn the title of champions.

Teams that excel in the finals can look forward to cash prizes: $2,000 per team member and coach for 1st place, $1,000 for 2nd place, $500 for 3rd place, and $250 for 4th place.
