Cipla USA and American Lung Association Join Forces for 2025 LUNG FORCE Walk to Promote Lung Health Awareness

Cipla USA Partners with American Lung Association for 2025 LUNG FORCE Walk

In a commendable effort towards promoting respiratory health, Cipla USA Inc. has reaffirmed its long-standing partnership with the American Lung Association by participating in the 2025 LUNG FORCE Walk. This event marks the 11th annual walk aimed at championing the cause of lung health and supporting those affected by lung diseases.

On May 27, 2025, Cipla North America employees, alongside numerous participants, gathered at the historic South Street Seaport, Pier 16, in New York City. This year, nearly 100 Cipla employees, along with their families and friends, took part, showcasing their commitment to the mission, which made them the largest group at the event. This turnout emphasizes Cipla’s efforts in driving community engagement and awareness surrounding lung health initiatives.

As a Lead Sponsor of this significant event, Cipla has been a part of the generics pharmaceutical landscape for over a decade, specifically focusing on respiratory health. The surge of over 34 million Americans living with chronic lung conditions makes the company's purpose of 'Caring for Life' particularly relevant.

CEO Marc Falkin articulated the importance of this collaboration, stating, "Our partnership with the American Lung Association underscores our commitment to enhancing access to innovative, high-quality treatments and raising awareness about respiratory conditions. Events like the LUNG FORCE Walk bring communities together and inspire action aimed at a healthier future. Our commitment to respiratory innovation ensures we continue helping individuals breathe freely and enjoy better lives."

Emily Amitin, Development Director of the American Lung Association in Metro New York, expressed gratitude for Cipla's ongoing leadership in lung health initiatives. She noted, "Their support is vital for advancing lifesaving research, improving access to care, and raising awareness around pressing respiratory issues in our communities. Together, we're not just walking; we are driving progress for every person who breathes."

The LUNG FORCE Walk aims to support the American Lung Association's mission to combat lung cancer, enhance air quality, alleviate the burdens of lung conditions, and work towards eliminating tobacco use. Statistics from the ALA reveal that asthma impacts around 27.8 million Americans, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) affects 11.1 million adults, illustrating the urgent need for awareness and action in respiratory health.

Cipla USA has consistently shown a commitment to initiatives that align with its vision of promoting healthier living. The company eagerly anticipates continuing its impactful collaboration with the American Lung Association to inspire positive changes in respiratory care.
