Another Works Promotes Side Job Implementation Through Educational Outreach at Yokohama School

Another Works Pushes for Side Job Implementation

On November 28, 2025, Another Works, a Tokyo-based company known for connecting individuals with side job opportunities, held an outreach lesson at Yokohama City Tsurumi Junior High School. The focus of the lesson was the theme of ‘side jobs,’ with Eiko Kuroda from the executive office leading the session. She shared insights on modern work styles and how to approach career thinking with the students.

Background of the Outreach Lesson

In today’s rapidly evolving work environment, characterized by an aging population, the breakdown of lifetime employment, and revisions in model employment regulations, the landscape of work is changing at an unprecedented pace. More individuals are embracing multifaceted roles beyond singular job titles, thus adding greater value to society. As a result, the concept of ‘side jobs’ is gaining attention as a vital means to maximize personal potential, steadily becoming a crucial part of our social infrastructure.

Since its inception in May 2019, Another Works has been a strong advocate for the idea that holding multiple roles is essential not just for financial gain, but also for skills enhancement, career advancement, and personal fulfillment. Their core service, the “Side Job Cloud” platform, connects individuals seeking side work with companies and local governments. As of December 2025, the platform boasts over 100,000 registered talents, 2,500 partnering companies, and 250 local government partnerships.

Amid these societal shifts, Another Works believes it is essential for young people to become aware of the diverse options available for shaping their careers early on. Realizing that there are various ways to work, akin to 'side jobs,' can greatly expand their future opportunities. Thus, Another Works is conducting outreach lessons across schools nationwide that highlight the joy of work, the breadth of choices, and the possibilities offered by side jobs. This initiative transcends mere career education; it serves as a concrete manifestation of our vision to maximize opportunities for all individuals willing to challenge themselves.
