AlonAlon and Vanguard Smith Duo Launches New Tourism and Welfare Initiative

AlonAlon and Vanguard Smith Collaborative Initiative

In a groundbreaking effort to blend the realms of tourism and welfare, NPO AlonAlon, led by Chairman Tomohiro Nabe in Isumi City, Chiba Prefecture, has launched a new initiative termed the "Kanfuku Collaboration". This project focuses on bolstering job opportunities for individuals with disabilities by intertwining the tourism sector with welfare support initiatives.

Background of the Initiative

As the tourism industry experiences a surge in visitors following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, a noticeable challenge has emerged: securing sufficient labor. Factors contributing to this labor shortage include wage disparities, extensive working hours, and difficulties in taking time off. As the demand for inbound tourism rebounds, new hotels and inns are proliferating, exacerbating the existing manpower crisis. According to statistics from the Japan Tourism Agency, the effective job opening ratio for the lodging industry stands at a staggering 6.15, indicating significant shortages across various job classifications.

To tackle this challenge, AlonAlon has leveraged its three-year track record of providing housekeeping services at the Torizaki Club hotel in Kisarazu City. This experience has paved the way for collaborating with Vanguard Smith, enabling AlonAlon to manage cleaning services for their vacation rentals.

Turning a labor shortage into an opportunity for individuals with disabilities, AlonAlon is poised to contribute positively to the tourism industry's workforce needs through this initiative.

Significance of the Initiative

The collaboration is multi-faceted, providing various benefits. For Vanguard Smith, it translates into a reliable workforce for cleaning their properties, thereby enhancing customer satisfaction. For AlonAlon, this partnership aims to increase wage rates for users of support-type B facilities while expanding into the emerging "Kanfuku" sector. This initiative holds the potential to broaden employment opportunities for those with disabilities significantly.

By collaborating with diverse enterprises and extending efforts into the tourism domain, AlonAlon is dedicated to creating more spaces where individuals with disabilities can thrive and contribute productively to society.
