Canvas Call Art Competition 2025
Art enthusiasts and aspiring artists, mark your calendars! The
Canvas Call Art Competition 2025 is set to unfold at
THE HARMONYST, located in Hiroo, Shibuya, Tokyo, managed by
Harmonyst Co., Ltd. under the direction of CEO Kanako Morikawa. This competition aims to provide a global platform for artists looking to showcase their talent and creativity.
Exciting Opportunity for Artists
The winners of this prestigious competition will have the chance to exhibit at the upcoming exhibition titled
'Unisson' in the Spring of 2026 in a gallery located in the historic
Le Marais district of Paris, a hub for culture and arts. The organizers will graciously cover all expenses related to the exhibition, including display costs, transportation of artworks, and travel expenses for the winners. More details about the venue will be disclosed in mid-August 2025.
Theme of the Competition: Harmony
The overarching theme for the Canvas Call 2025 is
'Harmony'. The competition consists of two phases: a
document screening and a
public competition. During the initial document screening phase, artists are invited to submit their works based on a free subject matter. Selected participants will advance to the public competition held at THE HARMONYST in Tokyo.
For the second phase, the exhibited works will revolve around the theme of
'Harmony' (Unisson). Participants are tasked with interpreting the question,
'What does harmony mean to you?' They are encouraged to express their understanding through various genres and techniques, creating works that will be displayed and available for sale during the event.
Commemorative Art Book for Participants
In a bid to honor all entrants, every submission will be featured in a commemorative art book titled
'THE CALL 2025'. This book will be made available in both Tokyo and Paris and will be presented to collectors and sponsors. Each featured artwork will include the artist's name, a profile, and a QR code linking to their social media, providing a valuable promotional channel for the participants.
Fair and Multi-Dimensional Selection Process
The exhibition for the artists who pass the document screening will take place in Tokyo. The final selection will be based on diverse criteria, including visitor votes, reactions on social media platforms, selection by sponsors, and sales performance. Furthermore, prominent Parisian gallerists and curators will contribute through a special judging process.
