Transforming School Communication with LINE School
LINE Yahoo Corporation is set to host a complimentary webinar titled "Transforming School Communication with LINE School" on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. This online event aims to streamline parent communications for schools by utilizing the LIINE School Contact Book, focusing on digital innovation and reducing administrative burdens.
In June 2025, a roadmap for educational digital transformation (DX) was established by the Digital Agency, highlighting twelve key practices that need revamping in schools. Notably, half of these practices are related to parent communication. By digitizing these communications, teachers can minimize their workload and dedicate more time to interacting with students.
During the webinar, the Noda City Education Committee in Chiba Prefecture will share insights from their implementation of the LINE School Contact Book, including challenges faced before adoption, the rationale for implementation, and the positive outcomes observed since its rollout. This firsthand account from education professionals will provide valuable perspectives on the effectiveness of this digital system.
The latter part of the session will cover the integration status of various educational administrative support systems with the LINE School Contact Book along with future development goals. Attendees can gain insights from real-world examples and discover practical tips for enhancing operational efficiency in educational institutions.

About the LINE School Contact Book
This innovative system allows schools to establish communication with parents through their official LINE accounts. It combines the direct communication capabilities of the LINE Official Account service with the parent communication system provided by Ace Child Corporation, ensuring basic functionalities are accessible for free to various educational institutions such as kindergartens, elementary and secondary schools, and special needs schools.
The system centralizes diverse communication tasks including reports of tardiness or absence, dispatch of notices, bulletin board updates, schedule coordination, document submissions, and automated reminders for required submissions. Additionally, it supports integration with various administrative support systems, significantly minimizing the traditional burdens of paperwork and phone calls associated with school communications.
With around 99 million users of LINE Japan-wide, schools benefit from a low implementation barrier, allowing for a smoother adoption process both for schools and parents.
The newly established "Education DX Roadmap" in June 2025 aims to tackle approximately 70% of the challenges laid out, contributing to enhanced operational efficiency in schools by alleviating the burdens associated with paper and phone communications.
