Light & Wonder Acquires Grover Gaming's Charitable Gaming Division
In a landmark move within the gaming industry, Light & Wonder, Inc. (LW) has successfully acquired the charitable gaming assets of Grover Gaming, Inc. and G2 Gaming, Inc., collectively known as Grover Gaming. Announced on May 19, 2025, this acquisition is valued at up to $1.05 billion, positioning Light & Wonder to expand its influence in the charitable gaming sector significantly.
The financial structure of the deal includes an initial payment of $850 million, with the potential for an additional contingent cash payment of up to $200 million, contingent upon Grover Gaming meeting specific financial metrics by the year 2028. This deal highlights not only the financial capabilities of the parties involved but also the optimistic outlook for future growth and development.
