Yesway Celebrates $630,000 Fundraising Milestone at Golf & Clays Classic

Yesway Celebrates Fundraising Success

Yesway, one of the rapidly expanding convenience store chains in the United States, marked a significant achievement at its Fifth Annual Golf & Clays Classic, raising over $630,000 for charity. This notable event took place on September 22-23, 2025, at The Golf Clubs at The Tribute and Elm Fork Shooting Sports in Dallas, Texas. Known for its strong community focus, Yesway orchestrates this fundraiser annually to support local charities, veterans, and first responders.

The remarkable sum raised was driven by the generosity of multiple vendor and supplier partners who contributed, showcasing a robust spirit of community engagement. Since the inception of the Golf & Clays Classic, Yesway has successfully gathered nearly $3 million in total funds, which have been allocated to various nonprofit organizations making tangible impacts within the communities Yesway serves. Notably, this year, the funds will support Operation Homefront, a national nonprofit dedicated to aiding military families, along with an array of local charities and civic organizations, including police and fire departments across Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Tom Trkla, Yesway's Chairman and CEO, expressed his pride in the event, stating, "The Golf & Clays Classic has become more than just a fundraiser—it embodies a celebration of partnership, generosity, and shared purpose. Since we launched the event in 2021, we have positively influenced the lives of veterans, families, and communities across our footprint. We are immensely grateful to our partners for their unwavering support and belief in our mission."

In addition to the funds raised for veterans and local heroes, proceeds will also benefit several community programs, such as Ruidoso Strong, HELP Inc., the D.A.R.E. Program of Otero County, and the Christian Outdoor Alliance. This commitment to local communities reflects Yesway's operational ethos of being more than a convenience store; it aims to be a positive force in the neighborhoods it serves.

Yesway's Chief Marketing and Merchandising Officer, Ray Harrison, added, "This event serves as a platform for our team, vendor partners, and industry peers to unite for a common cause, impacting lives in meaningful ways. Our vendor and supplier partners are the driving force behind this initiative, and their enthusiasm and generosity play a pivotal role in our success."

Among the top sponsors for the 2025 Golf & Clays Classic were notable brands such as Anheuser-Busch, Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, and Mars Wrigley. Over 88 sponsors and donors participated, underscoring the collective effort and community spirit fostering Yesway’s growth and commitment.

Moreover, the initiative has positioned Yesway as a notable entity beyond its retail activities, strengthening its image in the convenience store market as a socially responsible organization.

Ultimately, Harrison concluded, "Yesway's mission has always extended beyond operating convenience stores. We endeavor to support local heroes, families, and organizations that make a notable difference. Events like our Golf & Clays Classic exemplify the collaborative spirit and generosity that define the Yesway family."
