HiTHIUM Showcases Groundbreaking 8-Hour LDES Solution at SNEC 2026
On June 3, 2026, HiTHIUM, a leader in energy storage solutions globally, unveiled the world's first
8-hour-native long-duration energy storage (LDES) system known as
∞Power 6.9MWh BESS at the prestigious SNEC 2026 event. Alongside this significant reveal, the company also introduced its impressive new product, the
∞Cell 650Ah, which is a large-capacity energy storage battery, and the
∞Power 10+MWh solution, adding greater depth to their innovative portfolio.
As the landscape of renewable energy evolves, the demand for energy storage solutions that can operate beyond the traditional 2-3 hour range is growing. The
Long-Duration Energy Storage (LDES) sector is playing a crucial role in integrating renewable sources, enhancing grid flexibility and resilience, and ensuring the stable operation of power systems globally. In light of these developments, HiTHIUM has developed a comprehensive technology ecosystem that addresses the increasing needs for cost-effectiveness, safety, and reliability in energy storage solutions.
Redefining Energy Storage Standards
At the SNEC exhibition, the HiTHIUM team conducted presentations discussing trends in LDES technology and innovative products. Keynote speaker
Kay Ye, Product Director at HiTHIUM, highlighted the significant challenges posed by the fluctuating renewable energy penetration, the occurrences of extreme weather conditions, and the evolving 'duck curve' phenomenon impacting grid stability. In this context, LDES is emerging as a new pillar of infrastructure essential for securing power systems.
The centerpiece of HiTHIUM's exhibition was the
∞Power 6.9MWh system, powered by the groundbreaking
1300Ah battery cell specifically designed for long-duration usage. The system, crafted within a standard 20-foot container, is built to achieve a capacity exceeding
6.9MWh while delivering a stable output for up to
8 hours. Designed for longevity, the battery system boasts a lifespan of up to
25 years and allows for flexible configurations such as side-by-side and back-to-back deployments, thus optimizing space and reducing construction costs.
To enhance sustainability, HiTHIUM has implemented eco-friendly innovations, including a
low-GWP coolant, designs aimed at preventing leakage, and components that are recyclable. Safety is a prime focus too; the company has established a robust multi-layer safety architecture that encompasses cell safety, proactive and reactive measures at the battery container level, along with intelligent Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Launch of the New ∞Cell 650Ah
The event also marked the debut of the
∞Cell 650Ah, a large-capacity energy storage battery that complements the newly introduced
∞Power 10+MWh product solution. Thanks to HiTHIUM’s robust research and development capabilities in battery cell technology, the new offerings are designed to enhance customer value significantly by increasing energy density and improving overall system integration efficacy. These advancements are expected to yield better returns for energy projects while providing a broader array of options for diverse energy storage scenarios, thereby strengthening HiTHIUM’s competitiveness on the global stage.
In addition to these innovations, HiTHIUM showcased a comprehensive range of products during the exhibition, including:
- - ∞Cell 1300Ah
- - 1175Ah and 587Ah battery cells
- - ∞Power 6.25MWh BESS for 2-4 hour applications
- - ∞Cell N162Ah and ∞Power N2.28MWh sodium-ion BESS for 1-hour applications
- - ∞Block 261kWh and 418kWh energy storage cabinets for commercial and industrial use

Strengthening Presence in Southeast Asia
During the event, HiTHIUM also entered into a strategic collaboration with
DSS Solar, signing a
three-year agreement for 1GWh of energy storage solutions designated for Vietnam's residential, commercial, and industrial markets. This partnership is a great amalgamation of HiTHIUM’s advanced product solutions, manufacturing finesse, and supply chain proficiency alongside DSS Solar’s established local networks and project development capabilities aimed at promoting large-scale energy deployments in Vietnam, facilitating the region's energy transition, and supporting green initiatives.
With a diverse product lineup covering applications from 1 to 8 hours, HiTHIUM is committed to making
Long-Duration Energy Storage a strategic priority. The company is poised to continue pushing through innovations, expand its global footprint, and expedite the large-scale adoption of energy storage solutions as part of the drive to embrace a more sustainable energy future worldwide.
