A Celebration of Art and Design: FJD x KANADEMONO at MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2025
KANADEMONO, a brand under RoomClip, is known for its personalized furniture services, offering more than 7000 combinations with size customization down to the centimeter. With this unique proposition, KANADEMONO participated in MEET YOUR ART FESTIVAL 2025, held from October 10 to 13 in Tokyo’s Tennoz Canal area, attracting over 50,000 visitors.
Overview of the Exhibition Booth
At this year’s festival, KANADEMONO collaborated with Jiro Fujita, an esteemed art director and graphic designer recognized for his work with artists like Nujabes and Hydeout Productions. The booth was themed “Timeless Sound & Living,” creating an immersive space that harmonized art, music, and furniture. This collaboration resonated with Fujita’s long-explored theme of “Fragmented Memory” and KANADEMONO’s philosophy of designing rich lives through space.
The display featured vibrant furnishings alongside Fujita’s new artwork, vintage records from the legendary label/store “Tribe,” formerly owned by Nujabes, along with listening stations that offered an engaging audio experience. Signature items from KANADEMONO's “THE series,” such as storage shelves and stools with a linoleum top, were showcased, along with an exclusive preview of a stone tabletop coffee table slated for release this winter.
Creating an Immersive Experience
The design of the booth allowed patrons to engage with the records freely, thus blending art and music seamlessly into their everyday lives. The presence of attendees, deeply immersed in sound and visual art, created an unforgettable atmosphere of creativity and exploration.
KANADEMONO has taken a step beyond merely providing furniture to enhance living spaces; it aims to create experiences that incorporate art and music into daily life. The initiative exemplifies KANADEMONO's dedication to fostering rich and meaningful lifestyles through co-creation with diverse cultures.
Special Discussion: The Intersection of Art and Business
To highlight the collaboration, a special dialogue occurred between Jiro Fujita and KANADEMONO's CEO, Morizumi Ishikawa. This discussion explored deeper connections between art and business, emphasizing their common approach toward addressing challenges. Their conversation, showcasing insights from each field, is available for the audience through two engaging parts.
Other Notable Installations
