Introduction to the Teacher Employment Exam Orientation
The teacher employment exam is a crucial milestone for aspiring educators in Japan. On September 6, a comprehensive orientation session focusing on the fundamental subject of Teacher Education will be held online from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Teacher Education is more than just a subject on the written test; it forms the foundation for the essay and various interview portions of the exam. Mastery of this subject is often what determines the success or failure of candidates in the exam process. However, many candidates struggle when embarking on their study journey. The subject matter is dense and the range of topics is vast, covering areas such as Educational Principles, Educational Laws, and Educational Psychology. Each topic is deeply interconnected, making it difficult to master them quickly. It is commonly accepted that candidates need approximately 300 hours of study to sufficiently prepare for the exam.
The Challenge of Mastery
Given the challenges, how can candidates successfully navigate their studies? The key is to first gain an understanding of the overall framework of Teacher Education, allowing for a more focused and effective study approach. As the saying goes, "Foresee the forest before entering the trees"; this perspective can significantly enhance learning efficiency.
What to Expect at the Orientation
This orientation session is designed for individuals preparing to study Teacher Education and aims to provide participants with an overview of the subject in just 60 minutes. Gaining a solid grasp of the overall picture will undoubtedly accelerate subsequent study efforts. We encourage all prospective candidates to actively participate in this informative session.
The session will be hosted via Zoom, allowing attendees to join from the comfort of their own homes.
Meet the Instructor
The orientation will feature Takushi Kamoda, an experienced educator who has been involved in teaching and preparation for teacher employment exams since 2013 at TAC. His dynamic and engaging lecture style keeps his audience captivated, and he is known for presenting clear points that resonate with listeners. His storytelling skills also help students to remember crucial information easily, making him a must-see for any exam taker.
