Kizuna Shokudo's December Activities: A Heartwarming Christmas Event
On December 12, 2023, Kizuna Shokudo, a communal dining initiative established by the Kizuna Yūkai Social Welfare Corporation, celebrated its very first Christmas event in Kita-ku, Tokyo. This monthly event, held every second and fourth Tuesday, aims to create a welcoming space for the community, especially for families and children. Kizuna Shokudo operates its activities from its location in 志茂 (Shimo), providing home-cooked meals prepared with care by nursery chefs, focusing on nutrition and family-style dining.
A Festive Gathering
The Christmas event featured a warm and hearty serving of beef stew—a significant highlight for many attendees. As many as 50 portions were sold out within 30 minutes, showcasing the community's eager support. In addition to the meal, special Christmas gifts were distributed to children, creating an atmosphere filled with happiness and cheer. The children's delighted exclamations of ‘delicious’ echoed throughout the gathering, reinforcing the purpose of Kizuna Shokudo—bringing joy and nourishment to local families.
