Join us on September 23, 2025, at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo, for the Yamaha Gala Concert 2025. This event celebrates the young musicians who have grown through Yamaha's educational activities, including the Junior Original Concert (JOC), Yamaha Electone Festival (YEF), and Yamaha Junior Piano Competition (YJPC). Now in its 20th year, this concert promises an exciting program featuring talented artists alongside the renowned New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Keiko Mitsuhashi.

This year's concert will feature pianist Kaito Kobayashi, a graduate of the Yamaha Music School and a star in his own right. He has achieved notable success, including high placements in various international piano competitions. His performance, together with the rich and diverse musical repertoire ranging from solo performances to ensemble pieces, is sure to captivate the audience.

7. Symphonic Poem: Creation of Heaven and Earth - Yuki Yokozuka (Saitama) - Electone Solo
8. Flow - Daishi Hayashi (Kyoto) - Ensemble
9. Toccata: The Wind's Path - Saki Daido (Osaka) - Piano Solo
10. Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Major, Op. 102 - Dmitri Shostakovich - Kaito Kobayashi.

About the Artists


Kaito Kobayashi is an esteemed pianist and an alumnus of the Yamaha Music School. He won the 2nd place and the Best Chamber Music Performance Award at the Leeds International Piano Competition in 2021. Recently, he also secured 3rd place at the 12th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition. He has performed with prestigious orchestras globally, showcasing his talents.

Keiko Mitsuhashi, the conductor, is celebrated for her accomplishments, including winning the Antonio Pedrotti International Conductor Competition as the first Japanese and receiving several other prestigious awards. She collaborates with leading orchestras, delivering outstanding performances regularly.

New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, established in 1972, is known for its creative community engagement and premier performances under the direction of eminent conductors. Their commitment to fostering musical talents in Japan spans decades, making them a groundbreaking force in the country's orchestral scene.

Yamaha Music School offers a comprehensive music education system tailored for children and adults alike. It has nurtured over 5.5 million students since its inception in 1954.

Junior Original Concert (JOC) allows children under 15 years old across the globe to express their emotions through music, ensuring a platform for budding artists to shine.
