Delete C Mission 2026: Uniting Efforts Against Cancer
This September, the
Delete C Mission will kick off its 2026 campaign, aiming to unite citizens, companies, organizations, and healthcare professionals in a national effort towards cancer research support and awareness. This event, organized by the certified NPO Delete C, will run from September 1 to September 30 and marks the seventh iteration of this impactful initiative.
What is Delete C Mission?
The Delete C Mission empowers individuals to partake in cancer research advocacy through simple, everyday actions collectively referred to as
Casual Social Actions (CSA). Built around the concepts of posting on social media, shopping, learning, and collective engagement, this year's event promises to expand its reach by introducing a mix of new actions while enhancing existing ones.
In 2026, participants can engage in four distinct actions:
Posting,
Shopping,
Learning, and
Everyone's CSA!. Each of these components offers unique ways for individuals and organizations to contribute to societal change while forming powerful community bonds. For instance, social media activities will channel donations towards cancer research, while purchases at designated stores will contribute a portion of sales to the cause.
New Initiatives for Greater Impact
Particularly exciting this year is the introduction of initiatives focused on education. The learning component will include sessions targeting companies and municipalities, while also offering cancer education programs in schools to empower young minds about cancer issues.
Everyone's CSA! encourages organizations to brainstorm and execute unique actions that leverage their strengths, inviting innovative ideas like walks, sports events, and music gatherings.
The collective effort aims to deepen public participation and broaden the pool of potential contributions. Since its inception, Delete C has funded a range of clinical and foundational research projects, providing over JPY 60 million to 14 research initiatives focusing on various cancer types including pediatric cancer and breast cancer.
The Power of Community Participation
Throughout the month, all funds gathered as donations will be presented during the
deleteC 2027 -HOPE- award ceremony, scheduled for February 4, 2027, at the TOKYO NODE HALL in Toranomon. This year, the initiative plans to support four major research projects, honoring not only the researchers but also recognizing the efforts of citizens and businesses engaged in the
CSA Awards. The CSA concept promotes light-hearted actions that integrate social responsibility into daily life, making it accessible for everyone to contribute.
In previous years, the Delete C Mission has thrived through the combined energy of individuals who understand the significance of their contributions, no matter how small. Feedback from researchers indicates that public support has been crucial to their work, driving progress in critical areas of cancer treatment and research.
Join the Movement
As we prepare for this year's campaign, we invite everyone—individuals, corporations, organizations, and educational institutions—to contribute in whichever way they can. Whether it's through familiar actions like shopping or posting, or engaging in educational activities, your involvement makes a difference.
The mission of Delete C is clear: create a supportive environment where everyday activities can translate into real contributions towards beating cancer. As we move forward, let’s strive to expand our community, fostering a nationwide effort where every action counts. Together, with creativity and enthusiasm, we can turn our collective vision into reality.
