LX Pantos Accelerates Global Expansion by Acquiring Logistics Hub in Katowice, Poland

LX Pantos Boosts International Footprint with New Logistics Center in Katowice

On March 16, 2026, LX Pantos, a leading global logistics company headquartered in South Korea, announced its acceleration of international expansion through strategic acquisitions. A consortium that includes the Korea Overseas Infrastructure Urban Development Corporation (KIND) and the PIS No. 2 Fund successfully acquired a newly constructed logistics center located in Katowice, Poland, marking a significant investment of approximately $148 million.

The Logistics Center Details

The newly developed logistics center in Katowice comprises five buildings, offering a total area of 109,000 square meters. The complex is being constructed in phases, and full completion is projected for the first half of 2026. Several global and local companies have already signed lease agreements, indicating confidence in the facility’s potential.

With this strategic hub, LX Pantos aims to establish a logistics nexus for Eastern Europe, enhancing service offerings in key sectors such as automotive parts, consumer goods, and home appliances. Moreover, this facility is expected to serve as a forward logistics base supporting demand related to Ukraine’s recovery once it begins.

Expansion Beyond Europe

Beyond its operations in Europe, LX Pantos is actively expanding in key global markets, including the United States and Asia. In the U.S., the company has formed a joint venture named Boxlinks LLC with Ocean Network Express (ONE) and acquired a vast logistics center in Georgia covering 304,769 square meters—approximately equivalent to 43 football fields. This move is designed to bolster intermodal transportation capabilities.

In Northeast Asia, LX Pantos has established a joint venture called FutureLinks with Sinotrans to develop multimodal transportation between China and Korea. This initiative leverages the rapidly growing maritime and air transport markets driven by e-commerce shipments originating from China.

Statements from Leadership

Lee Yong-ho, the Global CEO of LX Pantos, emphasizes the company's extensive global reach: “LX Pantos operates through subsidiaries in 40 countries and over 380 global logistics networks, offering integrated solutions in maritime, air, rail transportation, and contract logistics. In this context, the logistics center in Katowice represents a strategic milestone in strengthening our presence in the European logistics market.”

Founded in 1977, LX Pantos is a top global logistics service provider based in South Korea, delivering comprehensive logistics solutions across its global network that spans over 40 countries. With this new acquisition, the company is set to play a pivotal role in the ever-evolving global logistics landscape, ensuring that they remain a key player as demands increase and markets continue to expand.
