Two weeks prior to the The 50 Best Bars 2026 awards ceremony in Milan, numerous establishments will be honored for their excellence in the cocktail craft. The 51-100 list features a total of 34 cities and introduces 13 new entries, reflecting the vibrant spirit of the global bar scene.

An Overview of Global Representation

This year, Chicago, New Orleans, and New York dominate the list with a total of five bars, marking the fourth consecutive year these cities are well-represented. On the other hand, Europe shines through with 18 bars, including standout venues from Paris, Athens, and Oslo. Notably, Asia continues to make its mark with 16 bars, among which Hong Kong contributes four entries.

For the first time on the list, bars from cities like Akra, Dublin, and Istanbul are being recognized, proving that the cocktail culture is thriving worldwide.

Selection Process

The selection of bars featured in the 51-100 list is determined by the votes of over 800 members of the The 50 Best Bars Academy, which is composed of bartenders, writers, educators, and industry experts. The list aims to showcase venues that have made a significant impact on global cocktail culture, emphasizing creativity, innovation, and excellence in service.
