Monumental Sports & Entertainment Welcomes Steven Miller as New CFO

In a significant leadership change, Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE) has announced the appointment of Steven Miller as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective October 2, 2025. Miller, who currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Warby Parker, is set to lead MSE into its next chapter of growth and transformation.

MSE's Founder and CEO, Ted Leonsis, expressed confidence in Miller's abilities, noting his rich experience in the financial sector, especially in consumer retail and capital markets. With a proven track record in corporate finance, fundraising, and IPOs, Miller brings a wealth of expertise that will be pivotal in guiding MSE through an evolving landscape in sports and entertainment. In his new role, he will oversee MSE’s finance operations, which encompass corporate real estate, financial planning, and tax and treasury functions.

Miller’s previous tenure at Warby Parker was marked by his strategic financial leadership, which contributed significantly to the company’s successful public listing on the New York Stock Exchange in September 2021. This experience positions him perfectly to help MSE enhance its financial strategy and operational excellence. His deep understanding of corporate finance will play a critical role in optimizing MSE’s business initiatives and driving value for stakeholders.

"I am thrilled and deeply honored to step into this role at a defining time for Monumental and the entire sports and media-entertainment industry," stated Miller. He looks forward to collaborating closely with the executive team, including Ted Leonsis and Zach Leonsis, MSE's President of Media New Enterprises. Their joint focus will be on growing the business and delivering exceptional value to employees, fans, and investors alike.

Miller’s career spans various high-level positions, including a significant stint at Majestic Research, where he was responsible for corporate development before the company was sold to ITG. Additionally, he served in Comerica Bank's Technology and Life Sciences Division, enhancing their outreach by opening a New York office. He began his professional journey as a strategy consultant at Monitor Company and has even contributed to public service as an Urban Fellow in New York City.

Zach Leonsis remarked on Miller’s diverse skill set, emphasizing his blend of financial acumen, strategic vision, and operational focus. These attributes are crucial for MSE as it navigates through the rapid changes in the media-entertainment landscape, aimed at optimizing investor reporting and fulfilling ambitious corporate goals.

In his community involvement, Miller is a board trustee of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, and also contributes to the Ubuntu Education Fund, a nonprofit that addresses health and educational needs in South Africa, showcasing his commitment to positive social impact.

As Miller prepares to step into his new role, the transition will be smooth, with former CFO Peter Biché now serving as Senior Advisor to assist with handover duties. Under Biché’s leadership, MSE has flourished, and with Miller at the helm of financial operations, the company is well-positioned for an exciting future ahead.

Monumental Sports & Entertainment has established itself as a leader in the integrated sports and entertainment domain, delivering joy and excitement to countless fans. As they continue to innovate and raise the bar in experiences for the community, Miller’s expertise will be instrumental in spearheading transformative growth initiatives.
