Wacker Chemical Corporation recently made waves at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers' Day 2025, held at the Javits Convention Center in New York City on June 3-4. The company showcased its impressive array of BELSIL® premium-grade silicones designed specifically for personal care applications, which include hair care, skin care, color cosmetics, and deodorants.

As part of this year's exhibit, WACKER featured their BELSIL® P1101, a groundbreaking silicone-organic hybrid that acts as a film-former and conditioning agent. This versatile product is suitable for a wide range of formulations, such as sunscreens, nail polishes, hair conditioners, styling products, color cosmetics, and skin care formulations.

Lida Sichaca, the marketing manager for WACKER USA’s Silicones Consumer Care team, expressed the company's excitement about participating in NYSCC. Among these, the BELSIL® CDM 3526 VP stands out as a sophisticated low-melting-point wax that imparts a lightweight, silky feel, enhancing the formulation's spreadability and ability to distribute oils and active ingredients efficiently. Furthermore, the BELSIL® REG 1103 B resin elastomer gel is water-compatible and offers a luxurious after-feel, enabling formulators to create textures reminiscent of mousse.

One of the highlights of the WACKER booth was a live hair demonstration emphasizing the efficacy of BELSIL® P1101. This innovative hybrid polymer is specifically designed to create robust curls that maintain a soft, touchable finish, making it an exciting addition for hair care enthusiasts.
