Nikon College Expands Learning Opportunities with Special Photography Courses

Nikon Imaging Japan, a subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, has announced the introduction of special courses at its photography school, Nikon College. The first of these special courses will feature two distinct themes. The first course, the "Twilight Photography Course," will be led by renowned photographer Yasuki Tanikado. Participants will learn the art of capturing the dramatic light during twilight, transitioning into night. This course includes practical sessions in beautiful locales, focusing on techniques for shooting landscapes at dusk. The second course, the "House Studio Portrait Photography Course," will be taught by the acclaimed photographer Hideki Kono. He specializes in shooting portraits and will guide participants on how to utilize studio space and lighting effectively to enhance their portraits.

Yasuki Tanikado
Tanikado began his photography journey after relocating to Canada, where he first encountered the auroras. Starting with the Nikon FA, he quickly evolved as a photographer, later showcasing his work in exhibitions. With over seven years of experience, he has now become a professional photographer, adept in both video and still photography. Tanikado is known for his diverse qualifications and has an affinity for both traditional and contemporary sweets, reflecting his versatile tastes.

Hideki Kono
Originating from Hamada City in Shimane Prefecture, Kono specializes in portrait photography for various artists and celebrities.
