Discover Cutting-Edge Water Supply DX Technologies in Upcoming Seminar

Upcoming Water Supply DX Strategy Seminar 2025

The future of water supply management is being transformed by digital technologies, including satellites and artificial intelligence. On July 11, 2025, Tenchijin Co., Ltd., a JAXA-certified space venture based in Chuo Ward, Tokyo, will host an online seminar aimed at municipal employees and water service operators (public enterprises). This seminar is free and promises to provide valuable insights into the latest innovations in water supply technology and funding opportunities.

Background on the New Water Circulation Basic Plan
On August 30, 2024, Japan’s new Water Circulation Basic Plan was approved. This plan emphasizes the introduction of digital transformation (DX) technologies to streamline maintenance processes for sustainable water supply systems. Taking note of this significant development, Tenchijin is organizing a seminar centered on the use of artificial satellites and AI technologies to enhance leaks management and implement water supply DX solutions.

Tenchijin Compass: A Revolutionary Water Supply Solution
Tenchijin Compass, known as the Cosmic Water Bureau, utilizes satellite data to support sustainable water services. Its key functionalities include:

1. Leak Risk Diagnosis and Support for Acoustic Surveys: Utilizing satellite data, leak risks are diagnosed within approximately 100 square meters, assessing risks in five levels. This is complemented by pipeline-specific risk assessments, enabling better understanding of water infrastructure and efficient management.

2. Support in Formulating Pipeline Renewal Plans Based on Local Characteristics: By combining diagnosis results with the importance of various facilities, including homes and critical supply points like hospitals and schools, we can derive numerous ‘priority renewal scenarios.’ These scenarios can be tailored according to normal leak risks or social impacts during disasters, allowing a strategic approach to pipeline renewal based on dynamic environmental changes.

With its advanced technology and low implementation barriers, Tenchijin has earned recognition from multiple ministries in Japan, winning the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award at the 7th Infrastructure Maintenance Awards. Since the launch of its services in April 2023, Tenchijin has surpassed 40 contracts with municipalities, signaling broad acceptance of its innovative solutions.

Seminar Overview
The upcoming seminar will delve into the theme of "artificial satellites × water supply big data × AI strategy." Attendees will explore use cases of the Tenchijin Compass Cyber Water Bureau, considered for its effectiveness in enhancing productivity in pipeline management, particularly in leak surveys and renewals. Municipal employees and public water service providers eager to optimize their operations with substantial data insights are encouraged to register.
