On September 30, 2025, Yachiyo Engineering Co., Ltd., based in Taito, Tokyo, will host a free online seminar titled "Explaining Best Practices from CDP 2024 A-list Companies! The Importance of Disclosure through CDP and How to Utilize Evaluation Results." This seminar is essential for corporate executives and sustainability managers aiming to enhance their organization’s environmental impact and reporting strategies.
The CDP questionnaire is revised annually, aiming to encourage proactive engagement from companies. However, many organizations often find the burden of responding to these inquiries overwhelming. While some may question the significance of answering the CDP questions, it is critical to recognize CDP as a trusted entity that evaluates sustainability management. The results from CDP submissions are increasingly becoming integrated into stock indices and loan assessments, marking its importance in the corporate landscape.
This upcoming seminar will reaffirm the value of responding to the CDP and will illustrate how to leverage the outcomes effectively by referencing best practices from A-list companies. Furthermore, participants will gain insights into utilizing their responses and evaluation scores.
CDP demonstrates interconnectedness with TCFD, SBT, TNFD, and Nature SBTs. By engaging with the CDP, companies can gain clarity on the current status and challenges related to climate change and nature. Stakeholders at the management level are required to actively work on environmental issues as part of corporate governance. Modules 4 (Governance) and 13 (Sign-off) of the CDP questionnaire specifically assess management commitment to these principles. Think of the CDP as a health check-up for sustainability management; by addressing the environmental issues discovered through this process and implementing them in business strategy, companies can enhance their CDP scores.
How can your business best utilize CDP? This seminar will outline that process and introduce services that can help enhance CDP scores while addressing environmental challenges.
This seminar is highly recommended for individuals responsible for sustainability within firms who may be facing the following challenges:
- - Responding to CDP annually without realizing its benefits
- - Struggling to utilize CDP results effectively
- - Recognizing the need for engagement on environmental issues, yet unsure how to gain management understanding
