Collaborative Initiative for Local Tourism Enhancement

In a significant move to strengthen local tourism, three prominent companies—Visual Voice, FROGLOUD, and JTB Research Institute—have signed a collaboration agreement on October 20, 2025. Background and Purpose of the Collaboration

As sustainability efforts become increasingly vital for businesses, there is a growing trend towards forming collaborations with local communities and utilizing local resources through initiatives such as the Corporate Furusato Tax system. The importance of promoting tourism through video has also intensified due to the rise of social media, making it a powerful tool for effectively showcasing local attractions. Yet, many regions struggle with fully capitalizing on the tourism videos they create, often leading to temporary promotional activities without sustained impact. Therefore, the recent partnership focuses on connecting corporate social contribution efforts with developing unique regional characteristics, while also ensuring effective promotional channels for these initiatives.

The Corporate Furusato Tax program (officially known as the Regional Revitalization Support Tax System) allows companies that donate to designated local governments’ revitalization projects to receive up to 90% reduction in corporate taxes, creating a win-win situation for both entities.

Details of the Collaboration

The agreement encompasses several key initiatives:
1. Implementing strategies to revitalize regions through video.
2. Promoting local tourism by leveraging video content.
3. Enhancing regional branding.
4. Producing and screening videos funded through the Corporate Furusato Tax.
5. Promoting these video productions to wider audiences.
