Senri Jazz Nationwide New Year Tour

Celebrated jazz pianist Chisato Oe, based in Brooklyn, New York, is set to illuminate the new year with his much-anticipated nationwide tour starting January 4th in Nagoya. Following his stunning performances in Japan during the summer, Oe's New Year Piano Concert will feature the special winter-themed piece, "Winter Joe Special," along with the heartfelt title song "I Wanna Live With You," which will be performed in collaboration with a choir.

On January 17th, the performances at the Ashiya Luna Hall promise a warm atmosphere as Oe introduces new songs alongside favorites from his repertoire. Oe expresses his excitement, stating, "I am looking forward to meeting everyone on these two distinctive days of performances, each with its unique content."

This nationwide tour, titled "Chisato Oe New Year Piano Concert: I Wanna Live With You Encore," will take place in premier classical concert halls across major cities. It will showcase a medley reflecting over 30 years of Oe's musical journey, including the celebrated "Natsuyasumi Senri Tengoku" and brand new arrangements. Audiences can expect a dynamic and lyrical experience as Oe blends jazz and pop within the unique soundscape of 'Senri Jazz.'

Additionally, Oe will collaborate with prestigious local choirs throughout the country. The innocent world visualization brought to life in the summer performances of "I Wanna Live With You" will resurface through the choir's beautiful harmonies. The concert in Nishinomiya will feature a special collaboration with his alma mater, the Kwansei Gakuin Women's Glee Club.

Oe will then return to the Ashiya Luna Hall—where his musical journey began—for the "Chisato Oe Trio Premium Jazz Concert 2026 in Ashiya." Accompanied by renowned musicians Matt Cloose on bass and Ross Pederson on drums, Oe will celebrate the jazz scene alongside a vibrant trio that has garnered acclaim from New Yorkers.
